Copper-alloy, 1.27 grams, 24.78 mm. 8th-9th century AD. A Middle-Saxon hooked tag of Class A formed as a triangle of copper-alloy sheet with punched double-triangle (“bowtie”) decoration in converging columns. The upper edge is formed with a jagged profile, with two circular piercings to accept the attachment rivets. Reference: Read, B.
