Anglo-Saxon 'Globular-Headed' Pin
Silver-gilt, 0.75 grams, 43.49 mm. 7th-9th century AD. A delicate dress-pin with parallel-sided shaft and globular head decorated with three filigree hoops above and below the equator which bears a filigree band. Reference: Webster, L & Backhouse, J.
