Anglo-Saxon 'Male' Wrist-Clasp
Gilded copper-alloy, 7.56 grams, 40.46 mm. 5th-6th century AD. A finely-moulded male (i.e. hooked) wrist-clasp, its hooked element still intact, of Hines ‘s Class ‘B’. The outer pierced section includes attachment lugs, one of which is complete. The gilding is present on most of the surface. Reference: MacGregor, A. & Bolick, E.
