Anglo-Saxon 'Punched' Annular Brooch Pair
Copper-alloy, 21.98 grams total, 47.40-51.23 mm. 6th century AD. A pair of flat-section annular brooches. One features four groups of radiating transverse strokes and two lines of opposed triangular stamps, ferrous remains of the pin. The other features similar bands of transverse strokes and a meandering line of punched points. Reference: MacGregor, A. & Bolick, E.
