Arcadius 'Roma on Cuirass' Siliqua
Silver, 0.95 grams; 12.77 mm. Milan. 395-423 AD. Obverse: DN ARCADI-VS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Reverse: VIRTVS RO-MANORVM, Roma seated left on cuirass, holding Victory (with wreath and palm branch over shoulder) on globe and inverted spear with spur; mintmark MDPS off flan in exergue. RIC X 1227, Milan. Clipped, otherwise extremely fine.
