British Bronze Age 'Barbed and Tanged' Arrowhead
Flint, 2.49 grams, 34.49 mm. Circa 2,500-2,000 BC. A neatly fashioned arrowhead with short barbs (one missing) and square-ended tang in brown-grey flint. The median spine is relatively thick with lateral facetting. Reference: Evans, J. The Ancient Bronze Implements, Weapons and Ornaments of Great Britain and Ireland, London, 1881 item 303. One barb missing, otherwise very fine condition. Provenance: found Nottinghamshire, UK.
