Rare British Celtic Iron Age 'Horse Head' Bowl Mount
Copper-alloy, 113 grams, 66 mm including stand. 1st-2nd century AD. A cast mount of a stylised bull's head with carinated muzzle and two spiked horns. The mount features a large loop above the brow and a smaller pierced lug below the muzzle. There is a piercing to the centre of the brow. Mounted on a custom-made stand. Provenance: from an old English collection.
