British Mesolithic 'Flint Blades' Group of Four
Flint, 2.87, 1.84, 1.58 and 1.17 grams each, 33.40, 31.37, 31.58 and 26.62 mm long each. Circa 12,000 BC. A group of four blades from the same location. In order of weight, comprising a pointed blade with retouching to a point; a blade with slight retouching and srration to edges; a blade with slight curvature and small notch to one edge and a smaller blade with retouching to edges. Reference: Susann Palmer Mesolithic Cultures of Britain. An unusual and attractive group. Provenance: found South East England, each with a small label 'G.C.' on one side.
