Flint, 244 grams, 125 mm. Circa 3,000 BC. A nicely flaked axe of light grey flint, trapezoid outline, finely flaked on the cutting end, cutting edge retains some sharpness, a very attractive piece. Reference: McAlpine, Lord A. Antiquities from Europe and the Near East, 1987, p.70. Very fine condition. Provenance: ex private collection, found Kent, UK in 1976.
