Copper-alloy, 60 grams, 20.5 cm. Circa 2nd millennium BC. A cast copper-alloy dagger blade of triangular profile with a thick median rectangular rib and two attachment holes at the shoulders. the tang is a short continuation of the rib. Reference: Muscarella, O.W. Bronze and Iron. Ancient Near Eastern Artifacts in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, 1988 item 544. Very fine condition. Provenance: from an old English collection.
