Bronze Age 'Lugged' Bowl
Ceramic, 640 grams, 20 cm diameter. Circa 3100-2900 BC. A pink buffware bowl with a low base, broad bowl and turned rim, below which is a band of impressed point detail and four small lugs. Patches of calcareous accretion adhere to the exterior surface. Reference: cf. Amiran, R. Ancient Pottery of the Holy Land, Jerusalem, 1969 p.45(2). Very fine condition, cracked. Provenance: from an old collection.
