Bronze Age Luristan 'Ribbed' Short Sword
Copper-alloy, 475 grams, 46.5 cm. Circa 2nd millennium BC. A cast copper-alloy short sword with thick median rib and penannular extensions at the top of the blade. The tang extends from a columnar socket with integral basketwork design. Very fine condition, cleaned and conserved. Provenance: from an old English collection.
