Copper alloy, 7.49 grams; 44.93 mm. Circa 1st century AD. A flat plate brooch based on the ken-back scroll, similar to a capital S. The zoomorphic features developed from this with the trumpet ends of the scrolls forming the stylized dragon heads at each end, at one end the head is connected to the main body and forms a loop form the pin to be secured.
