Copper-alloy and enamel, 10.25 grams, 49.47 mm. 1st-2nd century AD. A cast dragonesque plate brooch of the distinctive type associated with the Parisi tribe of modern North Humberside. Ancient and Romano-British Brooches, Oxford, 1982 item 155. Very fine condition. Provenance: found Nottinghamshire, England.
