Celtic 'West Brigantian' Dragonesque Brooch
Copper-alloy, 5.26 grams, 38.01 mm. 1st-2nd century AD. A cast dragonesque plate brooch of West Brigantian type with the chin connected to the chest. The tail and head feature raised elliptical bosses. The loop of the pin is still attached round the neck, and most of the slander shaft survives. Reference: Hattatt, R.
