Excessively Rare, Unpublished Constantine I (The Great) 'Globe on Altar' AE Follis
Bronze, 3.40 grams, 19.58 mm. Trier. 322 AD. Obverse: CONSTAN-TINVS AVG, helmeted, cuirassed bust right. Reverse: BEATA TRAN-QVILLITAS, globe on altar inscribed VOT-IS-XX in three lines, three stars above. Mintmark star STR in exergue. Unlisted mintmark. RIC VII Trier 303 var, (unlisted mintmark); cf Sear 3871. One other (not as nice as this example) was sold on ebay in 2010. Fleur De Coin. A significant coin which has been published on wildwinds.com
