Scarce Constantine I (The Great) 'Jupiter' Silvered AE Follis
Silvered bronze, 2.95 grams, 18.18 mm. Cyzicus. 317-320 AD. Obverse: IMP CONSTA-NTINVS AVG, laureate, draped bust left, holding globe, sceptre and mappa. Reverse: IOVI CONS-ERVATORI AVGG, Jupiter standing left, chlamys across left shoulder, holding Victory on globe and sceptre, wreath in left field, officina letter gamma in right field. Mintmark SMK in exergue. RIC VII Cyzicus 8; cf Sear 3862 (bust type, mint, fieldmarks). Extremely fine, with the majority of the original silvering.
