Silver, 1.36 grams; 15.45 mm. Circa 55 - 45 B.C. Corieltauvian class B. Obverse: Boar right. Reverse: Horse left, large ring of pellets above horse. Coin Index Registration Number at Oxford University: CCI 08.8807. M 405 - 406; VA 857; BMC 3208 - 3209; S 396 variant. Most examples in museums. This is the earliest extant Corieltauvian type because it conforms closest to the denarii of C.f. Hostidius Geta, the horse is derived from the imported diademed type of C. 65 - 50 B.C.
