Lowlands 'Gold Ryal' Coin Weight
Copper alloy, 7.17 grams; 16.62 mm. Circa Early 16th Century A.D. A weight from the Lowlands, it is square in shape with two faces, one face showing a ship with a rose in the centre below, identical to the design on the obverse of a Ryal or Rose Noble.
