David McAllister was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He studied design at Central College of Art and Design in London from 1973 to 1976 and graduated with a BA Honours Degree. Since leaving college he has worked in all areas of Art and Design including Illustration and Graphics. He has worked for all the major advertising agencies and his clients have included Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros. and Walt Disney Productions. He has produced artwork for many video covers, movie posters and 48 sheet posters as well as various other forms of publishing such as paperback book jackets.

David's work has been in great demand in several countries including Scandinavia, Japan, Greece, America, Australia, Singapore and of course Great Britain. He is proficient in the use of various painting and drawing mediums, including Watercolour, Gouache, Oil and Graphite Pencils. His speciality is painting people and producing montage images such as those used in movie posters and has recently embarked on portraiture for private commissions.
