Silver, 1.37 grams, 18.81 mm. 1056-1059 AD. Obverse: King enthroned holding sceptre and orb with +EDPARD RX ANGLOR legend. Reverse: short voided cross with martlets in angles and annulet in second and fourth angles and +DORR ONN EOFRPI legend for the moneyer Thor at York mint. S. 1181; N. 827; see Early Medieval Corpus at the Fitzwilliam museum (EMC) for similar examples (only seventeen coins recorded for this moneyer in this type). Good very fine, a few minor abrasions.
