Beautiful Egyptian 'Eye of Horus' Amulet
Deep blue faience, 2.12 grams, 20.57 mm. Third Intermediate Period, circa 1069 - 702 BC. A double sided pendant amulet with integral suspension loop. Depicting the finely moulded Eye of Horus, with the drop below suggesting the falcon's leg. Reference: Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, section 46. Provenance: Harlan J. Berk of Chicago. A fine and well detailed example in superb condition.
