Ancient Egyptian '26th Dynasty' Shabti
Glazed powdered quartz composite (faience), 11.33 grams, 64.87 mm. Late Period, circa 664-525 BC. A beautiful well proportioned shabti in white faience moulded on a small square plinth with an extended back section that terminates at the head. The shabti is of mummy form wearing tripartite wig and royal beard; the arms are crossed and hold a crook in one and a flail in the other. Reference: for an overview see Stewart, H. M.
