Faience, 0.76 grams, 23.80 mm. Third Intermediate Period. The sun-god was conventionally represented as an advancing man with a variety of animal heads; the present example features the boar, a rare choice. Made with a transverse piercing for suspension. Reference: Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, p.47. Provenance: from an old English collection. Very fine condition.
