Egyptian 'Isis-Hathor' Necklace
Glazed powdered quartz composite (faience), 4.75 grams, 46 cm. Mainly Late Period, 664-343 BC. A restrung necklace of cream and white discoid beads with a central section of alternating cream, terracotta and blue beads. The central pendant is an amulet of the goddess Isis-Hathor seated, suckling the infant Horus. Reference: Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994. Very fine condition.
