Egyptian 'Khnum' Amulet
Faience, 0.44 grams, 14.80 mm. Twenty-sixth to Thirtieth Dynasties circa 664-343 BC. A pale green amulet depicting Khnum, the ram-headed creator god who caused the Nile to rise and fertilize the adjoining lands. Made with a transverse piercing for suspension. Reference: Andrews, C.
