Egyptian 'Khnum' Amulet
Faience, 0.46 grams, 15.91 mm. Twenty-sixth to Thirtieth Dynasties circa 664-343 BC. A deep green amulet depicting Khnum, the creator god who caused the Nile to rise and fertilize the adjoining lands, in his ram-headed manifestation. Made with a transverse piercing for suspension.
