Egyptian 'Nefertum' Statue Amulet
Copper-alloy, 18.66 grams, 70.33 mm. Late Period circa 664-525 BC. A cast bronze of Nefertum, son of Mut and Thoth. He has his typical headdress of lotus blossom and plumes on top. The statuette has no suspension ring and probably had a tang beneath the feet, which were lost in antiquity. Reference: Flinders Petrie, W.M. Provenance: from an old English collection.
