Egyptian 'Osiris' Statue Amulet
Copper-alloy, 80 grams, 93.18 mm. Late Period circa 664-525 BC. A cast bronzes of Osiris wearing the atef crown and carrying the symbolic crook and flail, attributes which he inherited after ousting the previous god, Andjety. The amulet has a cast suspension ring behind the shoulders and another at the right ankle. Reference: Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, p.47. Very fine condition.
