Glazed powdered quartz composite (faience), 0.52 grams, 15.68 mm. Saite Period 664-525 BC. A pale blue amulet depicting the Red Crown of Lower Egypt with front scroll extension, made with a transverse piercing for suspension. Reference: Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, p.75. Very fine condition. Provenance: from an old English collection.
