Egyptian 'Taweret' Amulet
Faience, 0.71 grams, 20.07 mm. Late Dynastic Period, circa 715-332 BC. A creamy white figurine of Taweret (Greek Thoeris) the hippopotamus-headed god who assisted Bes in matters of childbirth.
