Egyptian 'Wadj' Amulet
Glazed powdered quartz composite (faience), 0.30 grams, 17.18 mm. Saite Period 664-525 BC. A short blue-green amulet in the shape of the wadj or papyrus staff which assured the wearer of rejuvenation according to the rites recorded in the Book of the Dead, made with a loop for suspension.
