Egyptian 'Wedjat Eye' Bifacial Amulet
Faience, 7.26 grams, 32.33 mm. Late Dynastic Period, 26th Dynasty (664-525 BC). A large pale blue glazed composition bifacial amulet depicting the wedjat or 'Eye of Horus' symbol. To each face, the notched eyebrow, pupil, rear spiral and ribbed drop are all clearly marked in. The amulet is pierced transversely for suspension. Reference: Andrews, C.
