Obverse: shield of arms in tressure of eight arcs with cinquefoils or pansies on the cusps and legend reading +EDWARD DEI GRA REX ANGL. Reverse: Floriated cross with lis at ends and at centre and lion passant in angles within a tressure of eight arcs with legend +EXALTABITVR IN GLORIA. The use of cinquefoils/pansies on the cusps of the obverse tressure arcs, in place of the normal lis or trefoils, is an unusual and interesting variant. S. 1510 var.; N. 1243 var. Very fine.
