Silver, 3.06 grams; 23.09 mm. Milan. 258-259 AD. (Joint reign) Obverse: GALLIENVS dot P dot F dot AVG, radiate, cuirassed bust right Reverse: VIRT GALLIENI AVG, Emperor walking right, holding transverse sceptre (point forwards) and small round shield, treading down fallen enemy, lying on ground, one arm raised. RIC V-1, Lyons 54 var (dots in obverse legend); Cunetio hoard 728, Elmer 82, Stevenage hoard 515, Morgat-en-Crozon hoard 175. Good very fine. A significant coin which has been published on wildwinds.com
