Greek Apulian 'Female Bust with Elaborate Headdress' Black-Glazed Plate
Ceramic, 170 grams, 162 mm diameter. Circa 4th century BC. An Apulian black-glazed plate with red and white ochre decoration: a female bust with elabotrate headdress and necklace, a rosette before, surrounded by concentric bands of geometric motifs. Very fine condition, repaired. Provenance: from an old English collection, found Apulia, Magna Graecia, South-eastern Italy.
