Greek Apulian 'Running Spiral Motif' Black-Glazed Oinochoe
Ceramic, 455 grams, 155 mm. Circa 4th century BC. A large Apulian oinochoe or wine-jug in black glaze with a single looped handle, trefoil rim, ribbed belly and stepped foot decorated in red ochre slip with running spiral motifs. Extremely fine condition, complete. Provenance: from an old English collection, found Apulia, Magna Graecia, South-eastern Italy.
