Silver, 12.94 grams, 21.42 mm (int.dia. 17.25 mm British N½, US 6¾, Europe 14.35). Circa 3rd century BC. A sturdy finger ring with a D-section hoop expanding to an elliptical bezel with a finely-modelled classical female bust moulded in the half-round; the figure has an elaborate coiffure and wears a peplos dress clasped at the shoulder. Good very fine condition. Provenance: from an old English collection.
