Greek Gnathian 'Recumbent Hound' Black-Glazed Guttos
Ceramic, 165 grams, 85.11 mm. Circa 4th century BC. A guttos of typical form with ring handle and rimmed spout on upper surface, the discus moulded in relief with a recumbent hound. Extremely fine condition, complete. Provenance: from an old English collection, found Apulia, Magna Graecia, South-eastern Italy.
