Silver, 1.47 grams; 19.41 mm. Class 7b; 1222-1236 AD. Obverse: small compact facing bust with sceptre dividing legend HENRICVS R/EX. Reverse: short voided cross with 4 pellets in each quarter and legend +ROGER ON CANT with square-topped letter ‘A’ for moneyer Roger at Canterbury mint. S. 1356B; N. 979. Part not struck up on a large heavy flan of good silver, a smart interesting coin.
