Iceni 'Boar & Horse' Silver Unit
Silver plated, 0.67 grams, 12.57 mm. Icenian C. Circa 35-25 BC. Obverse: boar right with pellets below, upper portion of boar's right leg comprised of two lines, no pellet on boar's shoulder, boar stands on exergual line. Reverse: celticized horse right, three pellets above, tail made up of a single line with shorter lines coming off at an angle. Celtic Coin Index Registration Number at Oxford University: CCI 09.3045. VA. 657-1, S. 431; BMC 3440-3512. Very fine for issue. Found Norfolk.
