Iron Age Celtic 'Enamelled' Trilobe Mount
Copper-alloy and enamel, 13.71 grams, 19.95 mm. Circa 1st century BC-1st century AD. A cast copper-alloy mount formed as three intersecting bulbs with red enamel triangles at the intersection. To the reverse, the mount is hollow, with an integral slider bar. Reference: cf. similar trilobed mount from Swindon, Wiltshire, recorded with the PAS under reference WILT-05FD81. Very fine condition. Provenance: found East Anglia, UK.
