Kushan-Islamic 'Decorated' Socketed Spearhead Iron, 520 grams, 369.29 mm. Circa 1st-2nd century AD. A large iron spearhead with a round tapering socketed section, a detailed banded design of chevrons and beaded edges that connects to the square sectioned upper neck. The blade has angled shoulders and a long shaft that tapers to a point with a slightly raised midrib. A very well preserved piece in good very fine condition. Ex old English collection.
