Silver, 1.47 grams, 14.07 mm. Trier. 383-388 AD. Obverse: DN MAG MA-XIMVS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Reverse: VIRTVS RO-MANORVM, Roma seated facing on throne, head left, holding globe and inverted spear. Mintmark TRPS in exergue. RIC IX Trier 84d [R2]; cf. Sear (1988) 4201. A significant coin which has been published on wildwinds.com

Silver, 1.62 grams, 17.09 mm. 383-388 AD. Trier mint. Obverse: DN MAG MAX-IMVS PF AVG, pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Reverse: VIRTVS RO-MANORVM, Roma seated facing on throne, head left, holding globe and inverted spear. Mintmark TRPS in exergue. RIC IX Trier 84b; Sear (1988) 4201. A scarce ruler. About extremely fine with usual striking crack.
