Medieval 'Arrowhead' Buckle
Copper-alloy and iron, 10.81 grams, 41.26 mm. 12th-14th century AD. A cast copper-alloy buckle formed as a D-shaped plate with overlapping ends to the rear, pinched and overlapped. The plate bears three bilinear 'arrowhead' designs on the upper surface. The remains of the iron pin can be seen at the rear junction and on the flat loop. Reference: Egan, G. & Pritchard, F.
