Excessively Rare Medieval 'Beast-Head' Coin Tumbrel
Copper-alloy, 13.41 grams, 65.56 mm. Circa 14th century AD. A cast copper-alloy tumbrel comprising a rectangular-section bar and hinged internal plate. The outer end of the convex-underside bar is formed as a stylized animal head with bulbous crown and D-section snout, pan-arm missing. Reference: Read, B.
