Medieval 'Carinated Crown' Dagger Pommel
Copper-alloy, 65 grams, 37.27 mm. Circa 14th-16th century AD. A cast copper-alloy dagger pommel or hilt-cap with conical hollow to the underside and carinated profile. The upper surface bears four raised palmette elements and a ribbed cruciform design. Reference: Read, B. Metal Artefacts of Antiquity, vol.1, Langport, 2001 page 88. Very fine condition.
