Copper-alloy, 3.00 grams, 37.78 mm. Circa 12th century AD. An unusual barrel key of Type IB made by folding sheet copper-alloy over a former. The bit is a simple rectangle with a circular piercing; it is folded i.e. made with a double thickness for strength.
