Medieval 'Decorated' Spindle Whorl
Lead, 50.51 grams, 33.64 mm. Circa 14th century AD. Cast with central ole and of shallow biconical form. Ornamented with a 'four-pointed star' outlined having single pellet internally to each point and groups of four pellets in each external angle to one side and a similar 'Maltese' cross with pellets motif to the other side.
