Medieval 'Hexagonal' Ring Brooch
Silver-gilt, 0.84 grams, 12.99 mm. Circa 15th century AD. The body of the brooch formed as six crescents cojoined in a hexagon. The original pin present and shouldered. The whole retaining almost all of the original gilding. Reference: Mills, N. Medieval Artefacts, for similar types. Provenance: from an old collection, found continental Europe.
